Love, love, love Faster Basset. And now that they have expended there is plenty of room to sit. I can't wait until the brewery opens and they start serving food. The smoked salmon crepe is delish. I also like the lemon. The lattes are mild and suit my palate. The service is always friendly and upbeat and te decor is current and fun. Such a gem in GF.

Fantastic place for my morning mocha and I am a coffee snob. A jewel in Great Falls!!!!

I enjoyed the chicken crepe! It is wonderful to not have a box restaurant serving typical Sysco deep fried food. I made a mistake of ordering my strawberry crepe along side my chicken crepe as the whipped cream and melted creating a mess. I do not care for the name of this business but do recommend trying it out.

Is it fast food? The plastic ware and paper plates say yes, the 25 minute wait time for an order (in a near empty establishment) say no. Food has been cool to the touch both times my wife and i have stopped in. Probably won't be back.

The coffee...are you serious? Thank the seattle arabica gods that finally rained their coffee beans in the small sad town of great falls. Best coffee in Montana I would say. Not a huge crepe fan, and I haven't tried the burgers although they look mighty fine.

I am not a huge gourmet coffee fan but I do enjoy a good breve. Aside from the ones my wife makes for me, this has been the best one I have ever had. My wife and I went in and got our coffee and a crepe (very good BTW) and the owner came out and brought me a smaller version of a breve that was incredible, I'm not sure what he did but it is definitely going to be what I order there every time. All in all this is a fantastic locally owned shop that will be visited by me more than starbucks.

Ambience is as good as it gets in GF. People are great and the service was equally as good. We ordered the A Burger and were impressed. The pastrami on this burger was unique and a perfect addition to a traditional burger and the Dijon mustard on this burger was near drinkable. Impressive burger. Unfortunately this burger couldn't overshadow the pricing and side of chips. I think $12 for a burger is steep and the 9 potato chips they give you were laughable. Best burger I've had in this town but the price makes question coming back.

Grabbed breakfast here after stopping in Great Falls on a road trip. Excellent coffee, great breakfast crepes. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

Ordered a burger and it had no flavor the meat smelled odd was dry too, overpriced and definitely not good

Mediocre, not good food and not bad food. Chicken tastes like lunch meat and not good quality, to be honest, their crepe is more like a tortilla so I'm agreeing with some other reviews. The only thing that was good in my crepe was bacon lol The dessert crepes aren't too bad but lacking specialty. It's edible but it's nothing someone can't learn to make at home. They don't have a good selection either but it's great falls, I'm sure this is the only place that serves crepes? They have beer, makes my husband happy lol that's all that's really good about this place. Oh and is clean and nice. The burgers looked good but didn't try. Maybe I'll give it a shot next time

We went here for brunch after a few suggestions from the locals. The food was amazing. The coffee was amazing. The beer was amazing. We got the Bea's Bowl and Bea's Fast Crepe. Quality bacon and the egg to protien ratio was good. 4 stars for OK hollandaise and a lengthy wait. Don't get me wrong, the food was worth it but waiting 20+ mins for an egg dish isn't fun.

Look for a place that is next to a Kobe's sushi restaurant and walking distance from the Staybridge Suites, and find Faster Bassett / The Front. Open lounge with a fireplace that services crepes, burgers, tacos, sliders, desserts, coffee, beer, wine, and cocktails. Clean and cozy environment. I come here numerous times and enjoy trying something new and different in town such as, Duck Tacos, Chicken Cuban sandwich, and many varieties of crepes. The coffee is good. Plus, it's the only place in town I know makes a delicious Mexican Mocha, which is a well made mocha with a hint of spice. Now, what makes this place exceptional is The Front's microbrews. Must try the beers! A bit pricy for some meals, but good price for a pint of microbrew beer ($4). Great place and good vibes.

Love Faster Basset! The crepes are delicious, although I must admit I haven't tried that many crepes. Their coffee-I'd take it over Starbucks, any day! My only complaint is that if I go there on a Friday for a bite to eat with my little, there aren't enough tables. Happy to see Faster Basset doing so well!

Crêpe? You mean tortilla? Quick summary: in my opinion it was unsanitary, overpriced and had horrible service. I'd rather go hungry than eat here again. Not even kidding. Service thought they were just too cool, they were extremely rude and profoundly apathetic. They could hardly hide their incredible disdain for the customers. Hipsters and trendsters who could care less about the customers. The beer was great, but the food was absolute junk, in my opinion. The hipster girl at the register went and took out the trash, came back, without washing her hands, and begin taking orders and bringing food out. No wonder I got sick. And I don't mean mildly sick. I'm talking *really* sick. I'd rather go to the roadkill cafe or taco bell than eat here again. Even if it was free. Seriously.

Faster Basset? More like SLOWER Basset. Be ready to wait over half an hour for a simple order.

  • Valerie S.

Absolutly love the environment and food. A bit pricy for coffee and crepes, but it is one of a kind for the area. The food is very tasty and the coffee is my favorite on that side of town. They even have kid friendly crepes to choose from.

  • Abigail A.

Faster Basset offers the best of both worlds! We went with a group of six and because Faster is also The Front, everyone found what they wanted. Coffee, crepes, beer, sliders - everything was delicious and we were a happy bunch. The atmosphere is pleasant and its a great place to have a meeting. Bravo to Beatrice!

Usually I love the food and service at Faster Basset. Today I ordered the Chicken and Avocado sliders and paid the usual $10 charge. When my sandwich came, there was no avocado on it. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, I was THEN informed that they ran out of avocado yesterday. They knew they didn't have avocado when the order was placed and not only did they not inform me, they still charged full price for the meal and didn't offer to compensate me when I complained.

Seriously Dude, if you are at the bottom of the barrel on the chips, open a new bag. Might consider warming the chips too.

Had the sliders there yesterday and they were super good! I would highly recommend getting some food here! The coffee is good too!

Not exactly a food mecca, Great Falls MT. However, they pour Stumptown Coffee from Seattle, and their crepes are not too bad. I had the "Bea's BSD," or something like that. Basically bacon was involved. The crepe was the right thickness, the spinach clean and not wilted. The bacon had a good flavor overall. What was missing was some sort of binder. A sauce, something more than the garlic mayo inside. As it was, it a crepe and a bunch of dry ingredients inside. A few other items on the menu sounded delicious, like the pork bites, and their selection of burgers. I will be back, oh yes I will be back.

Love at first taste! We absolutely enjoyed our first experience at Faster Bassett. We went because the name called out to us and we LOVE crepes. We will return next time we are in Great Falls because the food was fantastic, staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and for the fun environment. We loved the Bea's Fast savory breakfast crepe (the bacon is so good!), the strawberries and cream crepe, the Mexican mocha, and their hot tea. Yum!

  • Crystal W.

They make a respectable mocha but the service is slow, including the coffee truck service. I ordered a mocha from them twice while visiting Great Falls and both times I thought it could be hotter. However, their mocha is better than Starbucks and I think the coffee and crepe haus is kind of cool.

Me and my wife have gotten coffee all over town, but we have never had an experience as good as when we go into faster basset. The food is wonderful, and i have personally tried everything from burgers to crepes. The coffee is stumptown and i have never been more satisfied. If you go in for a large coffee and have time to sit make sure to ask for the large ceramic cups, they are a fantastic way to have any coffee. You also tend to get a few extra ounces that way :)

  • Stu H.

The food is fresh and delicious and the coffee is very good. If you like bold coffee, then ask for an extra shot in your drink. Was very happy to find this place while visiting the GF area.

Have eaten here twice and the crepes are awesome - meals and desserts. The service is SLOOOOOWWWW. So don't be in a rush. The second time I ate here, a group of mom's brought their young toddlers, I assume, as a lunch/play date. I thought that was in very poor taste but otherwise, I highly recommend.

    (4)
  • Heather And Todd R.

Good coffee. The crepes are good too. I recommend getting a side of the sun-dried tomato ginger mayo with whatever you eat- it's incredible! The plasticware and paper plates are a little offputting. I would much rather not have to throw out trash when I'm eating in. I can't imagine the amount of garbage they could avoid by using glass plates...

  • Chris S.

Only one savory vegetarian crepe, the "vegetable crepe," and it wasn't very filling. While the vegetables were fresh, there was no seasoning - basically, make a crepe with spinach and some grilled veggies and that's it. Disappointing. The sandwiches only come with potato chips, no other options. They serve Stumptown Coffee, which is very good, but weirdly all their signs attribute it to Seattle when it's really a Portland business. The iced tea tasted like it was made with a powder mix - avoid at all costs. I don't know why this is listed as eclectic - the decor is pretty basic, plank tables, not much in the way of interesting art, nothing special. This review is for the Faster Basset only, and not for the companion business The Front Brewing Company.

Portland's Stumptown coffee in Great Falls! How nice is that? Soy milk isn't hyper sweet. The girls behind the counter are super friendly and nice. I choose my hotel based on its close proximity to this coffee shop.

First time at the Faster Basset today. Walked in and asked the barista to surprise me with a coffee drink and she knocked it out of the park. Would DEFINITELY recommend this coffee shop to anyone coming into town. 5 stars! Yes!

Waited in a long line. I was like three people front of me. I would say fifteen minutes. Workers kept talking and laughing. Need to think of other people.

I love a unique breakfast and the unique restaurants that serve it. Add in the allure of small town America into the equation and you can find yourself in a truly one of a kind eating experience. I found this restaurant while staying at the Staybridge Suites in the same parking lot as a great alternative to their normal hotel breakfast. The main concept of the restaurant is crepes and coffee. They have a whole menu board full of crepes. Some looked like they were breakfast oriented and there were many that looked like they'd be a great lunch offerings. I was eating breakfast so I chose the Bea's Fast Crepe. It was a great offering full of fresh scrambled eggs, ham and cheese all wrapped up in a crepe. Initially I didn't think it looked like a huge amount of food, but I was surprisingly full by the time I finished the crepe. The crepe holds a deceivingly large amount of food. The coffee is the Stumptown brand of coffee. It was a strong flavorful cup of coffee. I didn't get the burnt taste that you get from many other strong flavored brands of coffee. I ordered a medium size and it was served in a large coffee mug for me to enjoy while I was in the restaurant. I'm sure I could have asked for a paper cup but I planned to drink it all before leaving. The service was very friendly. You put in an order and pay then they call your name when the order is ready. The inside of the restaurant is very attractively decorated and has a warm feel. There is a variety of places to sit from lounge chairs, to high top tables to regular low tables. They have a patio but it was 30 degrees when I was there and there weren't any heaters so outside seating wasn't happening. There's a drive through if you needed your food/drinks on the go. I'm guessing made to order crepes through a drive through may take awhile, I'd probably go inside instead. All in all, this was a great little restaurant both in food quality, ambiance, and service. This is a great example of a small town eatery who's hype is justified. If you're in town looking for a unique great breakfast you have to stop by the Faster Basset!

I only drank beer here so I can't say much about the food. My friend had a burger (on a bun not a crepe) and he seemed to like it, for whatever that's worth. The atmosphere on the brewery side is very comfortable - I like to be comfortable when I'm drinking. The beers were well crafted and the employees were passionate about beer and very friendly. I don't know what the deal is with the coffee and food on one side and beer on the other. My friend had to walk from the bar to the coffee counter to order. Why? I'm guessing it has something to do with some ridiculous zoning or alcohol regulations because I don't think anyone would consider this a great set-up unless it was a work-around to government soreheadery. It seemed like it was confusing and irritating to the staff as well so I don't hold it against the business too much. Besides, they make beer, how could I stay mad? Overall I would definitely go back and I would recommend it to anyone!

We love this place. We come every week for breakfast. Best coffee I've had since I lived in Seattle. Try the Beas Fast...you won't be disappointed! Best part? Atmosphere...

This place is great! A little bit of everything, coffee shop, brewery, tv for sports, free wi-fi, and the food is really good! Service is great. I went with the chicken tacos and they were amazing! I was here from Oregon on buisness and it was great to see Portland's best coffee being used here. It's a little bit of the things I love from home with it's own Montana personality. Love it!

We went there on a date tonight. We have been wanting to try this place as a few friends have recommended it since it opened. When we arrived, we were confused by the setup. Two businesses, a coffee shop and brewery, are located in the same room. We were confused by the menu. We had to ask for an explanation before we could order. I thought I was ordering a burger, but it was a crepe with a burger inside. Ok. What confused me the most is that they made it wrong even though the ticket was clear. I sent it back. By this time, my wife was nearly done eating. It came back wrong again. By this time, my wife was totally done. I explained that I really wasn't hungry anymore and was offered a refund. To sum up, very poor and slow service compounded by a glaring lack of attention to detail.

Inexplicably, they close at 10 PM on a Saturday night! Also, the Cuban chicken sandwich was no comparison to their burgers.

This place has a great atmosphere, the beet in great falls. I keep coming back in a regular basis. The problem is when I order food it's sort of like a joke. I am transported to a metropolis. Say Washington, D.C. The food is food but its so small it's for mini me and the price is not. So I hang out and stick with beverages. I Lime this place a lot absurd so cool the prices can stay in the stratosphere since there is no competition. The other half of the building is the front public house. This is the best great falls has to offer.

This is a great change of pace for Great Falls fare. The vibe is hip-ski-resort, as opposed to generic fast food or decrepit buffet. When I walked in, the music playing sounded like a loading sequence from Grand Theft Auto, but no matter - they have Stumptown Coffee (hipster coffee in Great Falls?! I thought I was hallucinating). The coffee was great, and the service accommodated me ordering a bit of the menu (I'm a vegetarian). There's free Wi-Fi, and they share the space with the Front Public House, which seems like a fun watering hole.

What an unexpectedly cool spot for Great Falls! The crepes are more than satisfying as a meal, and the atmosphere is very laid back and comfortable--cushy leather couches, long tables for working alone or hanging out as a group, lovely outdoor seating shaded from the busy street by well-placed landscaping, and even live music that adds a pleasant ambiance without being overwhelming. (I was there on a Sunday morning, and there was a guitar player, a quite good one.). The staff definitely give the impression that they are there to make your experience a great one. Be sure to try the Montana Almond Joy tea--delicious! The one suggestion for improvement is to get rid of the disposable plates, cups, and utensils for eating in. Do that, and this review would be 5 stars.

I really don't know the next time I'll be in Montana, but for a quick road trip breakfast/coffee stop it was wonderful. Had the all veggie crepe and it was a great relief from the usual road trip garbage. The coffee is stumptown (my favorite) and the brewery side looks like just my kind of place.

I have worked in the customer and food service industry since I was old enough to earn a paycheck and have been a coffee connoisseur for the last 10 years (both tasting and making); I only say this to give you the assurance that when I say this place deserves its five star rating, I mean it. I have been here for over four years. In that time, I have sampled every coffee shop in the area; chain and local businesses alike. Every other place I have patronized has had more than its fair share of flaws and/or deficiencies; bad coffee, poor service, unfriendly atmosphere, dirty facilities, unsatisfactory practices, or a combination of all. From the moment you walk into Faster Basset, coffee and crepe haus, it is inviting and receptive. The open space, seating, and fireplace instantly tell you this atmosphere is one in which you can relax. The staff is friendly and dedicated to serving the greatest people in the world; their customers. Their preparation area is completely open behind the counter where they make both the crepes and coffee (great view for the customer to watch their order made before their eyes). The crepes are made fresh for each order and the espresso is made the right way - from bean to ground, ground to shot, and shot to cup; by hand. No automated machines to tamp and pull the shots. Their coffee blend is one of remarkable flavor and temper; the drink balanced for unrivaled taste. As much as I would love to ramble on about the great things and small nuances of this establishment, I'll just give you the highlights. Atmosphere = awesome. Taste and service = great. They are very cognizant that they are only successful because of their customer base. If you are at all unsatisfied with anything (atmosphere, taste, or service), they do anything they are able to correct it on the spot and to ensure your experience is one that is unforgettable. Words are just talk, so I encourage you to go see it for yourself and tell them how they are doing. They are very receptive to all customer comments. I dare you to find a better coffee and/or crepe establishment in Great Falls.

This is one of the best restaurants I have been to recently, and for Great Falls, it's a Mecca of everything wonderful. It has good coffee and scrumptious crepes for breakfast, and it intrigued me with its partnership with a very hip wine bar and brewery right at the same location. Next time I'm back in Great Falls, I would definitely stop in again, and I didn't even think I liked crepes....

What a wonderful find in Great Falls! I was SO happy to find this place....given the fact that I was convinced I'd have to settle for something mediocre, being in such a "small" rural town. Boy was I wrong for assuming. This is the place for authentic, artisan coffee drinks. What they do here is a real craft, I can compare this coffee to the quality I have had in Italy. I had a 16 oz. cappuccino, which was perfect. I also had the lemon curd crepe, which was delicious. I can't say enough great things about the service here either. Maybe it's Montana (everyone I have encountered here has been SOOOO nice) but the girls who work here go above and beyond. Super friendly and attentive staff. Already going back in the morning!

The atmosphere is electric and it is the first thing you notice as you walk in. The place is kept very clean and I felt comfortable. The staff is very knowledgable of their menu so much so that they actually reccommend food and drink items if you become indecisive. The staff is kind and upbeat, which is a plus and the service is very fast and efficient. Great place a good meal, bring youself or the family, you will have a grand time.

As an out of town business visitor, this seems to place to be. Not just for coffee but for drinks and dinner as well. I ended up here for coffee after having dinner somewhere else, but really wish I had eaten dinner here. The menu was very appealing. The dessert creep I had was very good as was the coffee
